Our Board
The efforts we undertake to support members of our community has the oversight of our fantastic Board of Directors. This group of dedicated and knowledgeable leaders are a valuable resource who mentor our team to offer best-in-class services in a sustainable and fiscally responsible way.
Rob Havery
Board Co-Chair
Rob brings over 25 years of business experience and 28 years of leadership in the landscape industry to our board. As a dedicated mentor, he enjoys teaching young people essential skills to help them develop both personally and professionally. Rob’s commitment to the industry is further demonstrated by his role as a board member of Landscape Ontario, the governing body of the landscape industry.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rob is a passionate golfer, a devoted hockey coach, and a committed family man. His diverse experiences and leadership qualities make him a valuable asset to our board. Rob looks forward to contributing to the growth and success of Simcoe Hall and is eager to see it prosper in the years to come.
Bob McCulloch
Board Co-Chair
Bob, an Oshawa native, has over 30 years of leadership experience in the Canadian Consumer Packaged Goods industry. He has a proven track record of success in team building, strategic planning, and process improvement across Manufacturing, Sales and Customer Logistic disciplines. Bob retired in 2021 with a passion to give back to his community. Since March 2022, he has been an engaged member of the Simcoe Hall Settlement House Food Bank team. Bob is excited to leverage his experiences and collaborative skills to contribute meaningfully to Simcoe Hall, building on his commitment to community service.
Terry Ward
Secretary
Terry is retired after 37 years in the Information Technology sector working for a variety of firms who provided technology solutions to both Canadian and International customers in manufacturing, financial services, energy and mining, retail as well as both Provincial and Federal governments.
Prior to retirement, Terry was a Global Alliance Executive managing HP Canada’s strategic partnerships with many of the world’s largest technology companies.
Since retiring Terry has been active in volunteering in the community with sports events as well non-profit organizations focused on food security and individuals experiencing homelessness. Terry is currently a Board member of Feed the Need in Durham and the Steering Committee for the Spirit of Service. In his spare time, Terry enjoys travelling with his wife, particularly cruising and loves the time with his family and his four grandchildren.
Ted Reczulski
Legal Advisor
Ted is a lawyer located in Oshawa, practicing for 40 years with Koziar Reczulski Hunter Law. He was born and raised in Oshawa within four blocks of Simcoe Hall. The Hall was the hub of his childhood social and recreational activities.
Though the programs delivered by Simcoe Hall today have changed considerably, the core focus of the Hall remains “service to our community” in which Ted is grateful for the opportunity to give back to Simcoe Hall.
Dianne Zarobiak
Director
Dianne comes with a background in Pharmaceuticals and over five years of Early Childhood Management experience. Now a Board member, Dianne was once a child who frequented Simcoe Hall in the After School Program, Sun Fun Camp and Ski/Snowboard Club.
Dianne has studied, lived, worked and traveled far outside of Durham Region but feels very passionate about our community. Dianne shares that despite its reputation, Oshawa has incredibly beautiful outdoor spaces, diversity in programming and people and is continuing to grow and evolve.

Julia Dixon
Director
Julia currently works in the audit and assurance industry and is pursuing her CPA designation. She recently completed an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Economics. Throughout her university years, Julia enjoyed being part of several mentorship programs to help guide younger students. She is still involved in such programs at the university as a Teamwork Mentor.
Julia was introduced to Simcoe Hall as a volunteer for the holiday program and is grateful to have the opportunity to continue collaborating, learning, and contributing to the community as a Board member.
Nicholas Pinto
Director
Born and raised in Oshawa, Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance and is a highly motivated, bilingual (English and Portuguese) professional. Known for being a collaborative team player, he takes great pride in working with diverse groups to achieve shared goals. Since June 2022, Nicholas has been an active volunteer with Simcoe Hall Settlement House’s food bank, and in April 2023, he joined the Board of Directors.
In addition to his role at Simcoe Hall, Nicholas continues to expand his education and contribute to other volunteer organizations. He is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to and learn from the dedicated members, volunteers, and community at Simcoe Hall, as they work together to enhance the organization’s impact.
Sharon HALL
Director
Sharon rejoined the Simcoe Hall Board of Directors in September 2024 after a brief hiatus. With 25 years of experience on Not-for-Profit Boards within the Durham Region soccer community, and an additional two years on the Simcoe Hall Board, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the team. Her journey began nearly a decade ago when she volunteered a few hours during the Holiday Hamper distribution, which has since evolved into a profound commitment during the holiday season and a desire to actively contribute on the Simcoe Hall Board. Known for her organization, passion, and dedication, Sharon’s expertise is a tremendous asset in both the workplace and the boardroom.
Carolyn Palmer Linton
Director
Carolyn grew up in Durham Region and has longstanding roots to Oshawa where she had her first job at Parkwood Estate. A seasoned communications and emotional intelligence leader, Carolyn specializes in helping people articulate their complex ideas into writing. She currently holds a Senior Advisor role in the Government of Ontario.
Carolyn is also the current Director of Communications of FrancoNoir.e, a government network that supports Black Francophone initiatives and the winner of Apolitical’s 2022 Global Public Service Team of the Year Award and the 2023 Ontario Public Service (OPS) Amethyst Award, which recognizes the outstanding professional achievements and contributions of groups who demonstrate the OPS values. Carolyn believes in the power of people and seeks opportunities to support the betterment of those around her.
