Agilec is redefining change and helping people and organizations adapt to it. Agilec supports the communities they live in by Turning the Tables on Hunger all year long. This also consists of their annual Turn the Tables on Hunger event where employees get to go out and give back by volunteering.
Cargill Deicing Technology produces and distributes winter snow fighting products and services. Employees have volunteered several thousand hours to causes such as building homes, mentoring youth, caring for animals and feeding the hungry.
McGraw-Hill Education is a learning science company and is considered one of the “big three” educational publishers. This makes supporting education their biggest social responsibility. Their Helping Hands Program offers gift matching and group volunteer grants. McGraw- Hill also wants their employees to volunteer with local non-profits as a way of giving back to the community.
The Oshawa Centre has been around since 1956 and is a partner of United Way. They support non-profits and engagement programs within the community. Within the Oshawa Centre they have a dedicated space for charities and non-profits to set-up and have displays.
United Way has 1,800 community-based locations in 45 countries. Their mission, which they call their Community Impact Mission, is “we improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action”.
